March 2006 at Causey Contemporary (formerly Chi Contemporary) in Williamsburg Brooklyn NY.
This installation was a first for creating with colored sand. Using in combination with other found and gathered materials like ceramic tile, shells, dried flowers, bean lentils, among others, I took it as an opportunity expand into the gallery space a series of “Impressions” left by my footprints in sand. The waves of color overtake the urban grid of checkered tile transforming it.
