Insufficient Memory – 9/11/2001

The events of September 11, 2001 were an awful tragedy that will live in all of us forever. My immediate response to that day was extreme remorse, but also a feeling that America had failed to recognize our place in the world, that we had failed to learn from the lessons of the past, and that an inevitable break in communication had reared its ugly head. That as a nation we had neglected the cause of this conflict as we continue to do so today. We had entered the age of information with all of its technology and promise, whose greatest gift is the bridges it can build and the knowledge and healing it can bring. But our leaders and ruling class have ignored these gifts, instead choosing to have a narrow world view, with no respect for the life, liberty and pursuit of happiness of all the worlds citizens. Insufficient Memory examines a visual perspective of that day.
